Welcome to the instersection of art, science, nature, and curiosity

Utilizing a colony of flesh-eating beetles (Dermestes maculatus), Kyle creates unique feathered articulations using real deceased animals. Focusing on anatomical precision and dynamic posing, he blurs the line between science and art. With a background in Zoology and Biological research, Kyle strives to maintain scientific accuracy while creating his works. He creates pieces that highlight the striking beauty of an animal, while still holding a deep reverence for their individual lives and biologic nature. Through his work he strives to foster a deeper respect, understanding, and passion for the natural world. With feathers, flesh, and tissues removed, he aims to give the viewer a glimpse into the very soul of a bird. And in this glimpse a look into ourselves, for one of the only things that all living beings have in common, is death.
